During my field guide training I learned that in English, there are several names for a herd of giraffes. Instead of 1 name for everything, the name depends on what the giraffes are doing. I think this is very fascinating! A herd of giraffes on the move, like the giraffes in this picture, is called "a journey of giraffes", if the giraffes are not moving it is called "a tower of giraffes".
